A Welcome from our Minister
Welcome to Cheltenham United Reformed Church, made up of St Andrew’s URC in
Montpellier and Prestbury URC .
On Sundays St Andrew’s attracts a congregation gathered from across
Cheltenham and beyond. Prestbury has a more local
congregations.
During the week all our buildings are well-used by local
community groups.
Care for the environment is a particular
concern of the St Andrew’s congregation. The church has achieved an
Ecochurch silver award and is working towards gold. You may have noticed the
birdfeeders behind the outside church notice board, which are an example of
action taken to promote wildlife diversity. On the first Saturday of every
month the church hosts a Repair Café run by Vision 21, a local charity
promoting a sustainable future for Gloucestershire. There are also
environment-themed worship services, e.g. Climate Sunday.
Sunday morning
worship at all our churches is open to all. At St Andrew’s it is hybrid,
which means you can either attend in person or participate online. A video
of the service is livestreamed via Youtube and there is more information
about this on the website.
Information about other church activities
is also available on the website Whether this is a
single visit or whether you come here often, I pray that you may be blessed
by your time here at St Andrew’s or Prestbury URC.
Yours in Christ,
Rev Iain McLaren Minister, Cheltenham URC
